Current Telerehabilitation Projects

A number of exciting projects are underway within the Telerehabilitation Research Unit. Some projects are discipline specific, while others have a multidisciplinary approach.

Telerehabilitation projects in speech pathology

The current research into the use of telerehabilitation in the field of speech pathology is focused upon determining the validity and reliability of assessment and treatment protocols in both the paediatric and adult populations.

Telerehabilitation projects in physiotherapy

Current research projects in physiotherapy and telerehabilitation include the development and evaluation of digital measurement tools, and assessment protocols in both paediatric and adult populations.

Telerehabilitation projects in occupational therapy

Research combining occupational therapy and telerehabilitation is currently focused on evaluating the validity and reliability of Internet-based home visits, and the evaluation of assessment protocols for the neurological population.

Telerehabilitation projects in audiology

Currently there are no projects underway within the discipline of audiology.

Telerehabilitation multidisciplinary projects

A number of research projects aiming for a wholistic alllied health approach to client management combine the expertise of a number of disciplines.
