The Teaching and Learning Space Committee (TLSC) prioritises and oversees refurbishment projects of teaching spaces.  The Asset Management Plan provides funding for each approved project.  The Teaching and Learning Space Committee also determines the broad principles for the management of teaching and learning spaces.

The terms of reference of the TLSC are provided below:

  • To determine the principles of allocating formal and informal teaching and learning space and timetabling;
  • To determine the annual priorities for central teaching and learning space refurbishments in accordance with University strategic goals;
  • To determine the design standards and optimal use of teaching and learning spaces within the University;
  • To determine items for inclusion in an annual bid for Capital Management funds for the maintenance and enhancement of school or faculty teaching and learning space;
  • To prepare a report on the Group's activities to the Infrastructure Sub-Committee and make recommendations regarding teaching and learning space to that Sub-Committee.

Chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the TLSC includes representatives from each of the University's six faculties, University of Queensland Union, Institute of Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI), Property and Facilities (P&F), Teaching Technology Support (ITS) and the Gatton Campus Director.
