Jürg Keller is Professor in the School of Engineering and Director of the Advanced Wastewater Management Centre.

His students describe him as approachable, encouraging and enthusiastic and they say that he is keen for them to become known nationally and internationally for the quality and importance of their work. He engages students beyond the degree process and supports their careers after graduation.

Jürg has successfully supervised 30 research higher degree students and has 14 currently under supervision. Many of his students have moved into research positions in industry and academia in Australia and overseas. Others have moved into senior management roles.

Jürg draws from his own discipline the values of scientific rigour, a clearly structured approach and highly developed problem solving skills. He encourages his students to publish and to build collaborative networks.

Because of Jürg’s successful track record of supervision, he receives many approaches from domestic and international students to supervise their research higher degree.
