Showcasing the School of Tourism's Regional Immersion Project
Venue: Room 208, GPN3 Building (39A), St Lucia campus
Since beginning as a fledgling pilot project in Roma, western Queensland, in 2006, the School of Tourism’s ,Tourism Regional Immersion Project (TRIP) is now a fixture of the Work Integrated Learning strand of an undergraduate final year professional development course (TOUR3009). Richard Robinson (Lecturer) and Cate Clifford (Industry and Government Partnerships Manager) will showcase the conceptualisation of the program, some research outcomes from the UQ T&L grant that supported its development and overview the 2011 rollout. Finally, student representatives of the 2011 cohort of TRIPpers will showcase their projects and share learnings and challenges.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
