Comprehensive and Strategic Internationalisation of Higher Education
Professor John Hudzik
Michigan State University
According to John Hudzik, comprehensive internationalisation is an organising paradigm for understanding and acting on the internationalisation of education in the early twenty-first century. It involves a widening set of objectives and people within and beyond one’s own institution.
In this seminar, Professor Hudzik will outline the rationale and goals for comprehensively internationalising educational institutions, and discuss a number of related issues including:
- institutional scope and scale of comprehensive internationalisation,
- the prerequisites for its successful implementation,
- and associated issues, barriers, and challenges.

Time: 11:00am-12:30pm (morning tea from 10:30am, followed by lunch)
