Associate Professor Shazia Sadiq teaches information systems at UQ and has long been an exceptional teacher, with consistently high teaching and course evaluation scores. Her contributions to teaching have included teaching students, contributing to curriculum renewal and continuous course improvement, and mentoring new academic staff. Her teaching style is energetic and enthusiastic, and her explanations are comprehensive and clear, which greatly assists students in understanding and mastery of the course material. Her teaching methods help students to gain real-life perspective and she gives excellent and timely feedback. In particular, her interactive learning tool, LDBM, and its feedback system, have been of significant help to students in monitoring their own performance and work in the course. She is actively involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning, with teaching-related publications, grants, and awards.
