Top Australian media personality speaks at Alumni event
Media personality Julie McCrossin was the special guest at a recent luncheon hosted by the Social Work and Applied Human Sciences Alumni and Friends.
Ms McCrossin, renowned for her humour and commitment to justice and diversity enthralled the capacity crowd with her presentation.
She spoke about what she considers to be the number one human rights issue at the moment – the impact of alcohol abuse on Aboriginal children. Much of her presentation focused on time she has spent in Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory. This is the second time the Alumni Network has hosted Julie McCrossin at one of its functions.
