Dean's Scholars
The School of Social Work and Human Services is pleased to announce the following 2nd year students have been nominated as SBS Faculty Dean's Scholars in 2010:

This is a wonderful achievement and we congratulate our students. Information on the Dean's Scholar program is included below.
SBS Faculty Dean's Scholar Program
Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (SBS) Dean’s Scholars are recruited from all SBS undergraduate programs and undergraduate sequences of study, including students in dual degrees and students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science who have an SBS major.
Entry Rules:
To be accepted into the program students must have:
- completed between 16 – 24 units and
- receive 2 Executive Dean’s Commendations in the 1st year of their program.
Continuation in the program:
To maintain a place in the program students must:
- receive one Dean’s Commendations each subsequent year and
- not have a GPA that falls below 5.75 in any subsequent semester and
- not receive a failing grade and
- remain in an SBS program or sequence of study as per the above description
Benefits and opportunities of becoming a Dean's Scholar include:
- Summer research and work internships
- Priority in overseas exchange programs
- Optional research course (SOSC3900)
- Opportunities for scholarships for exchange and internships

- SBS computer labs:
- $40 printing credit
- Free 24 hour swipe card
- Library:
- $30 photocopy card
