UQ promotes reducing, reusing and recycling materials where possible to reduce waste. This includes the reuse of office furniture and equipment that can become available during building refurbishments.
Seddon West Building has existing furniture and equipment that is available for re-use in UQ offices.There are a number of relatively new 1800mm rectangular desks together with other storage furniture.
Items can be viewed and selected on site at Seddon West ground floor on Wednesday 20 March from 10am to 11am where P&F staff will greet you on arrival and guide you through the process. Best entry to Seddon West is via Services Road, opposite the old Security Hut.
There will be an opportunity to walk to Steele Hut at 10.30am prompt to view a number of hutch style desks.
You must bring a completed Request for Internal Services Quote to the event to be able to select furniture - this authorisation from your budget holder will be required to cover the costs of the removalist.
All heavy items must be moved by the removalist in keeping with Occupational Health and Safety considerations, however portable hand held items may be taken on the day. Once you have submitted your request to P&F WeMoveAll will contact you to arrange delivery.
All items must be delivered to the building of your choice by close of business Friday 22 March.
