What can I study?

Search the UQ Courses and Programs website

  1. Log on to the UQ Courses and Programs website
  2. Enter a search term (you can search by keyword, course code or area of interest).  For example, to find courses relating to Australia, enter "Australia."  Then click "Search."
  3. The default search is for both courses (subjects) and programs (degrees).  Once you have done a search, click on "Courses" to hide the search results that are programs and see courses only.
  4. Click on a course code or title to see the level of the course (undergraduate or postgraduate), which semester(s) it is offered, and on which campus it is offered.  Click on the semester and campus in which you are interested to see the course description.
  5. On the course description page you will find a short description of the course as well as a link to a detailed course profile.
  6. If the course is pre-approved for Study Abroad and Exchange students, there will be a note in the sidebar on the left stating that "This course is pre-approved for Study Abroad and Exchange students."  This means that you don't need any special permission from UQ to enrol in the course.  If you don't see this note, you can still apply for the course but will need to show that you have met the prerequisites.
  7. If you want to get back to your search results, use the "back" button on your browser.
  8. Once you have done a search, you can use the "Refine your search" menu on the left to refine your search results to include only pre-approved courses, only courses offered in a particular semester, only undergraduate courses, etc.  If you then do a new search, you will need to refine it again.
