Summer semester fees and charges


Fees 
Commonwealth supported students and full-fee-paying students may undertake courses in the Summer Semester 2009/10. Some courses may only be available on a fee-paying basis.

Commonwealth supported students 
If you are currently a Commonwealth supported student in a program at UQ or another university, you may be eligible to enrol in Summer Semester courses as a Commonwealth supported student if :

  • the course is available on a Commonwealth supported basis; 
  • you are eligible to enrol; and
  • the course will count for credit towards your program of study. 

HECS-HELP

You must submit a new Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP form if you are:

  • a cross-institutional student approved to enrol as a Commonwealth supported student;  
  • a current University of Queensland Commonwealth supported student and you wish to change from your previously nominated payment option;  
  • a current University of Queensland Commonwealth supported student enrolling in a different program in the Summer Semester.

A request for HECS-HELP must be received by the university by no later than Wednesday 23 December 2009.

Full-fee paying students 
Fee paying students include international students, domestic postgraduate fee-paying students, undergraduate domestic fee-paying students, non-award students and Commonwealth supported students who are not eligible to enrol in a Summer Semester course as a Commonwealth supported student (see eligibility criteria above).  

FEE-HELP
A request for FEE-HELP assistance must be received by the University by no later than Wednesday 23 December 2009.

An undergraduate Commonwealth supported student who wishes to study a course that is offered only on a full-fee basis, may apply for FEE-HELP using only a paper Request for FEE-HELP assistance form. Fees Calculator 

To assist students to estimate their student contribution amounts or fees for a semester, the University has developed an online Fees Calculator. The Fees Calculator will guide you through a series of options, allowing you to include details of the course(s) you are interested in studying and the fee category which applies to your enrolment.

When to Pay 
The due date for payment of all fees and charges is Friday 11 December 2009.

What to Pay 

  • The amount in the myAccount box on your mySI-net Student home page indicates your due fees.
  • If you wish to print a copy of your invoice you must do so before making your payment.
  • Dropping or adding courses my change your debt.
  • Please wait at least one working day after adding or dropping courses before viewing your updated invoice.

How to Pay

  • Click 'Pay My Fees Now' in the myAccount box on your Student Home page on mySI-net and use one of the three payment options (credit card, BPAY or cheque)
  • Your invoice will also indicate the payment methods which may be used.
