Commonwealth supported students and tuition fee-paying students may undertake courses in the Summer Semester 2012/13.
Commonwealth supported students
If you are currently a Commonwealth supported student in a program at UQ or another university, you may be eligible to enrol in Summer Semester courses as a Commonwealth supported student if :
- you meet eligibility requirements for the course; and
- the course will count for credit towards your program of study.
Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP
You must submit a new Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP form if you are:
- a cross-institutional student approved to enrol as a Commonwealth supported student;
- a current University of Queensland Commonwealth supported student and you wish to change from your previously nominated payment option;
- a current University of Queensland Commonwealth supported student enrolling in a different program in the Summer Semester via the taxation system.
Please note: Eligible students can apply for a HECS-HELP loan to defer re-payment of their student contribution amounts for Summer courses.
Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP forms are available via the 'Financial' link on your mySI-net home page and must be submitted no later than the ceneus date, Tuesday 18 December 2012.

Tuition fee-paying students include:
- international students
- most domestic postgraduate students
- full-fee-paying domsetic students (eg. current UQ students who have recently gained Permanent Residency and do not have a Commonwealth supported place; or pre-2009 commencing domestic students)
- non-award students
- Commonwealth supported students who are not eligible to enrol in a Summer Semester course as a Commonwealth supported student (see eligibility criteria above under Commonwealth supported students)
FEE-HELP
If eligible, FEE-HELP assistance forms are available via the 'Financial' link on your mySI-net home page and must be submitted no later than the census date Tuesday 18 December 2012.

When to Pay
The due date for payment of all up-front fees and charges is Friday 7 December 2012.
What to Pay
- The amount in the myAccount box on your mySI-net home page indicates your due fees.
- If you wish to print a copy of your invoice (available via your mySI-net Financial link) you must do so before making payment, as your invoice will no longer be dislayed once payment is receipted.
- Dropping or adding courses may change your fee liability.
- Please wait at least one day after adding or dropping courses before viewing your updated invoice, which will be available via the 'Financial' link on your mySI-net home page.
How to Pay
- Click 'Pay My Fees Now' in the myAccount box on your mySI-net home page and use one of the three payment options (credit card, BPAY or cheque)
- Your invoice will also indicate the payment methods which may be used.
