The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to disadvantaged students with a foster/kinship care experience who wish to study a full-time undergraduate program at the University of Queensland.

Applications are invited from students who -
(a) is a domestic student within the meaning of the Fee Rules; and
(b) in the past five years has resided in a foster/kinship care arrangement; and 
(c) is able to demonstrate that they are financially disadvantaged; and
(d) will complete or has completed Year 12 or equivalent in the previous five year period; and
(e) is intending to enrol full-time as a commencing student in an approved program at The University of Queensland in the following year.

Selection is based on financial need and the standard of the applicant’s academic achievement in secondary school. 

Value: $8,000 per year for up to 4 years
