Odyssey Travel Equity & Merit Scholarship

Odyssey Travel has confirmed our ongoing commitment from 2012 onwards to provide scholarships to tertiary students who have demonstrated academic merit in their studies. The Odyssey Scholarship is focused on offering financial assistance for students of proven academic capability who are experiencing financial hardship and with assistance from Odyssey, may be forced to withdraw from their studies. In 2013, Odyssey will offer three (3) scholarships to a maximum of AUD$10,000 to each student.

Duration: One (1) Year
Year of Scholarship: 2013
Level of Enrolment: Second (2nd ) Year and beyond
Closing date: Friday, January 4, 2013. Recipients notified February 1, 2013
 
CRITERIA & CONDITIONS
·         Applicants must be full-time at an Australian or New Zealand University.
·         Applicants must have successfully completed their first year of study.
·         The award of grants will be based on academic merit and will be subject to a means test.
·         The grant would be open to students across Australia and New Zealand.
·         Payments are subject to recipients maintaining full-time enrolments and obtaining passing grades each semester.
 
APPLICATION PROCESS
·         In 2013 eligible applicants will be required to provide the following:
·         A short statement (500 words) as to why they should be considered for a grant.
·         Evidence of eligibility for an AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY allowance. (or NZ equivalent)
·         A copy of their academic record and a letter of support by an academic acquainted with their work.
·         Applicants will be required to submit a means-tested application.
