Awarded approximately every 3 years to enable a Queensland student of music to undertake further study or research, either in Australia or overseas, in one or more of the following fields: composition, conducting, musicology, organ.  A candidate for the scholarship shall be not less than 20 years of age at the closing date for applications for an award, and shall be or formerly have been domiciled in Queensland or be or formerly have been a student of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music or the University of Queensland.  In the application a candidate shall give particulars of qualifications, and shall indicate the proposed field of study or research, and the school of music at which or the teacher under whom the candidate proposes to study, or the manner otherwise in which the candidate will carry out the work.  A candidate shall submit such further particulars and evidence of qualifications as may be required by the Head, School of Music. Open to suitably qualified applicants from both The University of Queensland and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University.
