Why study the Doctor of Science in Forestry?
Candidates submit a thesis which draws together material they have previously published in the area. All published material must constitute an original and important contribution to scientific knowledge. The thesis should demonstrate how the published work has made such a contribution and extend the major themes of the work.

Tuition fees do not apply to Higher Doctorates; however an examination fee may apply.

Program Rules and Requirements
To complete the Doctor of Science in Forestry
Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.
A student must submit evidence of scholarship and original research. The material submitted must constitute an original and distinguished contribution to knowledge. To this end the student must submit as prime evidence published contributions to forestry. Relevant unpublished contributions to forestry may be offered in support. Refer to DScFor rules for further information.
