The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.

The Master of Social Work provides social work practitioners with the opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional practice in core social work fields and methods. What you can do with a Master of Social Work
Careers
Graduates have the opportunity to develop practice, research, leadership and management skills that will make them more competitive in areas of advanced practice and management roles. Graduates are employed in a wide range of government and non government organisations as direct practitioners, managers, researchers and policy practitioners. Some graduates use this qualification as a basis for entering private practice.

To complete the Master of Social Work
To complete the Master of Social Work, a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.
Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.
