Actual annual fees may vary in accordance with your choices of majors and electives and whether you study in Summer Semester. Tuition fees are indexed each year. The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.

Why study the Master of Food Studies?
The food studies program provides postgraduate opportunities to build on specific knowledge of the sciences and technologies related to commercial food processing and/or human nutrition. Students select from a range of courses to meet individual needs and specialisation preferences, and also undertake a research project within the broad areas of food industry, food science, technology, engineering and microbiology, or nutrition. Graduates of the program demonstrate specialised knowledge of selected fields of food-processing. They can integrate and apply knowledge from a range of sources to technical issues; and effectively locate, interpret, critically evaluate, synthesise and communicate information in selected fields.

Careers
Graduates find employment as: food technologists, food scientists, food microbiologists, laboratory managers, food product development scientists, quality control managers, technical salespersons, food production managers, nutrition advisors or community health educators.

To complete the Master of Food Studies, a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.
