Indicative annual fee: AUD$ 30800

Indicative annual fees are calculated on the basis of two full-time semesters only. Actual annual fees may vary in accordance with your choices of majors and electives and whether you study in Summer Semester. Tuition fees are indexed each year. The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.

Why study the Master of Agribusiness?

Agribusiness is the study of consumers, retailers, marketers, and primary producers - and the business of keeping the chain working profitably. This program meets the needs of three groups of professionals: those working in agribusiness who wish to upgrade their management skills; those wishing to redirect their careers into agribusiness; and new graduates in either business or agricultural/rural science wishing to add to their employment prospects. Students have opportunities to enhance their knowledge, skills and practice; to develop their careers; and to deliver better and more profitable outcomes for Australian agribusiness. Students learn to locate, interpret, synthesise and apply information from a variety of sources. Graduates demonstrate a high level of specialised knowledge of agribusiness management, and business and communication skills associated with selected areas of study.

Careers

Agribusiness professionals find employment with commodity traders, financial institutions, agribusiness companies and company run farms, government instrumentalities and regional and community development agencies.

Professional memberships

Graduates may be eligible for membership with the following professional bodies:

  • Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology

While this degree may be accredited by an official industry accreditation body in Australia, completion of the degree may not result in graduates receiving automatic accreditation. Please contact the relevant registration body for details of any conditions for accreditation.

To complete the Master of Agribusiness

To complete the Master of Agribusiness, a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.
