Bachelor degree in any field with a GPA of at least 4.75 on a 7 point scale OR Graduate Diploma in Commerce with a GPA of at least 4.75 on a 7 point scale.

The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.

Why study the Master of Commerce (Advanced)?
The Master of Commerce covers core competencies in accounting, finance, information systems and e-commerce. This innovative program is designed for people in middle to senior management who are looking for further knowledge in their chosen careers. Graduates in other fields have the opportunity to change career directions through quality courses leading to professional qualifications in the fields of applied finance, electronic commerce, information systems or professional accounting. Students must major in one of four fields of expertise.
Students may also complete two fields of interest or additional advanced electives in the Master of Commerce (Advanced) program. This may include a research component which provides a pathway to higher research or doctorate levels.
The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate offer students alternative pathways to the Master of Commerce and Master of Commerce (Advanced).

Careers

Program Rules and Requirements
To complete the Master of Commerce (Advanced)
To complete the Master of Commerce (Advanced), a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.
Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.
A student is required to obtain #32 from the MCom List comprising -
- #8 from Part A; and
- #12 from one field of study in Part B; and
- the remaining #12 in a second field of study from within Part B or from a combination of Part C and Part D and/or other courses approved by the Head of School.
Students who have previously undertaken studies in commerce must not choose a field of study similar to one previously studied within another program.
Students must seek the permission of the Head of the School of Business before enrolling in any courses in Part D. Refer to the MCom(Adv) rules for further information.
