The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.

Why study the Master of Business (Advanced)?
The Master of Business program is designed for current managers seeking formal qualifications and for those aspiring to middle/senior management in relevant industries. This program allows students to gain specialist knowledge in a chosen field and accelerate careers within particular business disciplines.
The Master of Business (Advanced) program allows students to complete a research component which provides a pathway to higher research or doctorate levels. Alternatively, students may complete two fields of interest or additional advanced electives in the MBus(Adv). Students broaden their general management and leadership skills.
The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate of Business offer students alternative pathways to the Master of Business and Master of Business (Advanced) with specialisation in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, Public Sector Management, and Sustainability.

Program Rules and Requirements
To complete the Master of Business (Advanced)
To complete the Master of Business (Advanced), a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.
Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.
A student is required to obtain #32 from the MBus List comprising -
- #8 from Part A; and
- #12 from one field of study in Part B; and
- the remaining #12 as a second field of study from within Part B or from a combination of Part C and Part D and/or other courses approved by the Head of the School of Business.
Students who have previously undertaken studies in business must not choose a field of study similar to one previously studied within another program.
Students must seek the permission of the Head of the School of Business before enrolling in any courses in Part D.
