The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers postgraduate coursework programs that enable students to upgrade their skills and professional development needs for employment. Graduates of this program receive a qualification that will enhance their employment opportunities in all areas of the public service and private enterprise. In the face of unprecedented change and uncertainty at both a local and global level, organisations are seeking graduates who can think critically and react positively to these changes. Arts graduates are in the ideal position to meet this challenge with their ability to think independently, reason logically, write and communicate clearly.

To complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts

To complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts, a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.

Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.

A student is required to obtain #16 from the GDipArts List in the chosen field.
