Why study the Graduate Diploma in Food Studies?
The food studies program provides postgraduate opportunities to build on specific knowledge of the sciences and technologies related to commercial food-processing and/or human nutrition. Students select from a range of courses to meet individual needs and specialisation preferences, and also undertake a research project within the broad areas of food industry, food science, technology, engineering and microbiology, or nutrition. Graduates of the program demonstrate specialised knowledge of selected fields of food-processing. They can integrate and apply knowledge from a range of sources to technical issues; and effectively locate, interpret, critically evaluate, synthesise and communicate information in selected fields.

It is an expectation that students will have private access to a computer and the internet. An internal student attends lectures, tutorials and practicals on campus. To complete the Graduate Diploma in Food Studies, a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.
