Why study the Graduate Certificate in Plant Protection?
The plant protection program develops core disciplinary knowledge and skills in plant protection, emphasising tropical and subtropical aspects of the field. Compulsory courses cover plant pathology, entomology, weed science and the integration of these disciplines. The masters program includes a research project. Students may focus their studies in one of the following areas: tropical pest management; agricultural entomology; plant pathology; or weed sciences. Graduates possess an understanding of key principles and their application in professional practice; relevant communication and problem-solving skills; and the ability to undertake research in plant protection.
