Bachelor of Science students are able to make flexible choices from a broad based set of courses in their first year which lay the foundation for access to a specialised major by their third year. Program Rules and Requirements
To complete the Bachelors of Science/Laws
Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.
A student is required to obtain #88 comprising -
- #56 from the LLB List including -
- #32 from Part A and B of the BSc list including -
- (i) #38 of compulsory courses from Part A; and
- (ii) #18 of elective courses from Parts B and/or C; and
- at least #14 from Part B including #12 of Level 3 or higher (ie. late year courses).
In the BSc students must complete either: one major or one extended majors.
Students who wish to satisfy the academic requirements for admission to the legal profession in Queensland MUST include LAWS5215, LAWS5216 and LAWS5217 as part of the #18 of elective courses for the LLB. Refer to BSc/LLB rules for further information. Also refer to the BSc/LLB program planner.
