Indicative annual fees are calculated on the basis of two full-time semesters only. Actual annual fees may vary in accordance with your choices of majors and electives and whether you study in Summer Semester. Tuition fees are indexed each year. The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.

The BInfTech includes many features designed to make study attractive and engaging to students while producing graduates tailored to meet the needs of industry. This degree offers hands-on, project-focused study as well as a chance to do a 'sandwich' period of workplace experience. Bachelor of Science students are able to select from a broad based set of courses which lay the foundation for completion of a specialised major in later years.

What you can do with a Bachelors of Information Technology/Science
Careers
BInfTech: Career opportunities are extensive because computer usage is almost universal. Graduates are likely to find employment in government; commercial enterprises; industrial organisations; computer manufacturers; public utilities; local authorities; universities or as private consultants. While this degree may be accredited by an official industry accreditation body in Australia, completion of the degree may not result in graduates receiving automatic accreditation. Please contact the relevant registration body for details of any conditions for accreditation.
Program Rules and Requirements
To complete the Bachelors of Information Technology/Science
Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.
A student is required to obtain #64 comprising -
- (i) at least #6 from Part A; and
(ii) at least #14 from Part B including #12 of Level 3 or higher (ie. late year courses).
In the BSc students must complete either: one major or one extended major.
