Why study Public Management?

This field builds directly on the public policy and governance perspectives developed in the core courses of this program and examines further the workings of the public sector and policy making systems. It examines reforms to the public sector, public sector management strategies, as well as issues such as public policy design and implementation, government accountability frameworks, and relationships with stakeholders. Combined with the core courses, this field addresses the demand in the public sector and other arenas for people able to deal with public sector management and public policy challenges.
