Why study Bioinformatics?
The extended major in Bioinformatics provides BInfTech students for a career in the computing behind the new biology. The extended major includes the necessary programming and computer science background, as well mathematical and biological electives necessary to enter emerging industrial or research applications of bioinformatics.
