Bachelor of Biotech with honours

Rosemary Harrison graduated from the Bachelor of Biotech (Hons) program in December 2004 and received the University Medal in July 2005.

She originally chose to study science at UQ because she felt the science fields and resources available appeared superior to other local universities.

"UQ science students are learning state-of-the-art techniques, which in science is your greatest asset when leaving university," she said.

"I think the Biotech program has great merit and will grow as the industry matures."

Rosemary is currently employed in a start up company Healing Power(CM) Ltd.

"For me personally, I hope to apply for PhD scholarships next year and with my medal, I hope to take advantage of international scholarships as well," she said.

"I hope to keep working for Biotechnology companies during my PhD to keep my finger on the pulse and be poised for employment when I finish."
