“I chose to study at UQ because of the good reputation in Germany. I also informed myself about the courses and as I study international business I could choose from a range of courses that are really helpful for my studies in Germany.

“The best thing about studying at UQ is the nice and huge campus. The professors and tutors are also nice and helpful. And the courses I chose are interesting and I have fun studying.

“The assignment in my course ‘Advertising Management’ helped me a lot to enhance my learning experience. It is a huge group project and we have to develop a campaign for a company including every single aspect, from storyboard to costs, evaluation etc. This assignment helped me a lot to understand the basics of marketing and also improved my skills in working in groups.

“For me the Student Centre was really helpful because I went there with any problem and they could always help me or showed me where to go to get the right information.

“First of all studying in Australia benefited me on a personal level because I came here alone and I made new friends from all over the world, I learned to be independent and I improved my English a lot. As I major in International Business it is very important to me to get to know other cultures and study abroad. The courses ‘Advertising Management’ and ‘International Business Management’ improved my knowledge about the topics what will definitely be useful for my future.

“I really enjoy the weather here and the people, they are friendly and helpful. I didn’t have any culture shock at all and it was very easy for me to ease into the new environment. I enjoy the way people are interacting here and the BBQs and in general the social life in Brisbane which is really different from that in Sydney or Melbourne.”
