UQ campus tours (Year round)
The University of Queensland opens its doors to schools, individuals, families along with small and large groups of visitors throughout the year. Campus tours are offered daily during Queensland school holiday periods. For more information, please contact the UQ School Liaison Team via school.liaison@uq.edu.au or on 07 3346 9649. Tours generally take about an hour and can be arranged during business hours.
UQ Careers Fair, St Lucia Campus (14 March 2012)
The UQ Careers Fair is an annual event that brings together university students and major employers from across the country. For UQ students, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore their career opportunities and meet face-to-face with leading employers from government and private industry. The Brisbane Careers and Employment Expo (4-5 May, 2012)
The Brisbane Careers and Employment Expo is held annually at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Entry is free and the Expo runs for two days. Alongside 200 other exhibitors, The University of Queensland Student Recruitment Team is always available to answer questions about the programs, facilities and study options available at UQ.
TSXPO : (21-22 July, 2012)
TSXPO is your chance to access over 250 highly qualified representatives who will provide expert advice on tertiary course options. At this free event meet with advisers and find out the latest information on tertiary studies from representatives of all Queensland Universities, some interstate and overseas universities, TAFE, Defence Forces, private providers, student support services and government agencies.
UQ Open Days (August)
- UQ St Lucia (5 August 2012)
This event offers potential students the opportunity to find out about all degree programs offered by the University. Visitors are encouraged to start their day at the UQ Centre, where they can collect printed publications and speak individually with staff representing all degree programs and collect printed publications. A series of seminars and tours will also be conducted. A detailed program will be available on the website closer to the date.
- UQ Gatton (19 August 2012)
Whether your interest is Agribusiness, Agriculture and Horticulture, Animal Studies or Environmental Management, UQ Gatton Open Day is the perfect opportunity to learn about programs and careers. Visitors have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with academic staff and current students or attend information sessions. Guided tours of campus facilities such as the equine unit, dairy, plant nursery and student accommodation operate throughout the day.

The UQ Ipswich Open Day is a showcase of programs and facilities available at the Ipswich Campus as well as interactive sessions, market stalls, information about University services and much more!
UQ Postgraduate Advice Night (12 September, 2012)
The UQ Postgraduate Advice Night will be held at UQ's St Lucia Campus. At this event prospective postgraduate students will be able to find out about UQ's range of postgraduate programs at the coursework, research and honours levels. The event will run from 4.30pm-7.30pm.
Research Week (17-21 September 2012)
The University of Queensland will celebrate outstanding research during Research Week in September. Research Week raises awareness about UQ research among current and prospective students, staff, graduates, the wider public, schools, industry, government and the media. UQ Options Evening (19 December 2012)
Coinciding with the release of OPs, UQ Admissions staff will present an information session explaining alternative entry pathways and tertiary options available to students, as well as advice about QTAC applications and satisfying entry requirements. Prospective students will have the chance to speak to current staff and students from each of the University’s faculties.
