Guide to the cut-off points table
- OP - Overall position
The OP places students in one of 25 bands, from 1 (highest) to 25 (lowest) based on a comparison of students' overall achievements in Years 11 and 12.
- FP - Field Position
Field Positions rank eligible Queensland Year 12 students on their achievements in particular areas of study and are reported in 10 bands, from 1 (the highest) to 10 (the lowest). They are designed to assist universities and TAFE institutes to select students with similar OPs for entry to courses.
- Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR)
All Australian States/Territories of Australia produce overall measures of their studentís achievements in a common index that allow for comparisons to be made across States/Territories and across time. This nationally agreed common index is called the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) in all States/Territories other than Queensland. The ATAR was previously known as the Interstate Transfer Index (ITI).
- Lowest Group 1 GPA
The lowest grade point average from:
- University of Adelaide
- Australian National University
- University of Melbourne
- Monash University
- University of Sydney
- University of New South Wales
- University of Queensland
- University of Western Australia
- Lowest Group 2 GPA
The lowest grade point average from any institution not listed above.
