Undergraduate application key dates and ordering preferences

Application due dates

QTAC offers a year-round application process, allowing applicants to select undergraduate degree programs commencing in first and second semester on a single application. QTAC applications open in August each year with applications for programs commencing in Semester 1 due for on-time submission by the last business day in September. Please see the QTAC website for mid-year closing dates.

Applications may be lodged after the September due date. Please see the QTAC website for further details.

Ordering preferences

When listing preferences, applicants must note the program’s QTAC code and the start month (i.e. February for Semester 1 and July for Semester 2). When applying for the same program with different start months, each start month nominated for a given preference will be counted as a separate preference.

Offers

The majority of QTAC offers for Semester 1 are made in January, with a smaller number of offers for selected programs made in December the year before. Offers for any remaining program vacancies are released in February. For programs commencing in Semester 2, the major offer round is in early June.
