Students from other universities may apply to enrol in courses at UQ and gain credit toward an award at their home university.

Cross-institutional students are subject to the rules of the University of Queensland, including those relating to late fees and academic progress.

To make an application, these are the required steps:

 

  • Fill in an Application for admission as a cross-institutional student (PDF) (also available in hard copy at all student centres)
    On the form you will need:

    1. approval from your home institution
    2. an original transcript of your academic record
    3. HECS-HELP Status form from your home institution
    4. Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP form. This form is not necessary for international or fee-paying domestic students. Commonwealth Supported domestic students can obtain this form from their home institution.

  • Submit the application to a UQ student centre, or mail to:

If approved, you will be notified in writing, and then be able to enrol online using mySI-net.
