Coursework master programs offer students the chance to extend their professional understanding, change careers or adjust to changing employment requirements. Most coursework masters programs consist of a series of specialist courses in a structured class or seminar format or online. A research component may be required, but it is shorter than that required in a research masters program.

The length of a coursework master can vary from one to three years full time and part-time enrolment is also available. Entry to most coursework master programs requires a bachelor degree (sometimes with honours), although students may be able to enter a graduate certificate or a graduate diploma. Work experience may also be required. Examples:
