A Concurrent Diploma gives you the unique opportunity to add another dimension to your learning experience. Alongside your bachelor degree, you can learn or progress a second language (10 languages available); participate in musical ensembles; or gain enhanced knowledge around the impact of globalisation.

The three Diplomas available are:

Study pattern

All Concurrent Diplomas comprise 16 units of study.

You can opt to undertake the Diploma over an accelerated period, or spread the load across the duration of your bachelor degree or beyond*.

*International students must complete the Diploma at the same time as their bachelor degree as the Concurrent Diplomas are not CRICOS coded which affects stay duration available on a study visa.

How to apply

You can apply to the Diploma of Music Performance and the Diploma in Languages, directly to UQ (Not QTAC) once you have received your offer of a place in a bachelor degree.

The Diploma in Global Issues is available once you have completed your first year of undergraduate study (ie 16 units).
