Natural Resources, Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Faculty
The Faculty of Natural Resources, Agriculture and Veterinary Science provides education and training in a range of areas including agribusiness and resource economics, agriculture and horticulture, environmental science and management, food science, nutrition & food technology and veterinary science and animal studies.
The Faculty is recognised internationally for its strengths in both teaching and research and has the additional benefit of being situated in tropical/sub-tropical regions ensuring that the disciplines taught are especially relevant to students from many countries in Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Research strengths include:
Mined land rehabilitation and soil management, crops and pasture science, post-harvest horticulture, plant breeding and biotechnology, dairy processing particularly UHT processing, infectious diseases and nutrition of animals, natural and rural systems management, and agribusiness.
