Applying for dual degree programs (International applicants)
International students who have been made an offer to study in a single undergraduate program at UQ and wish to instead be considered for admission to a dual program, should advise the International Admissions Section or their Agent (if applicable). If eligible, you will be made a new offer for the dual program.
International students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at UQ, and wish to change to a dual program, should refer to the advice given in the current students website, myAdvisor.
International students wishing to apply for admission to a dual degree should use the International Student Application for Undergraduate Studies form and follow the same application process:
- If you have not already chosen your program, use the Courses and programs website. Should you require further information about your study program please complete an online enquiry form.
Please make sure you completely understand all of the entry requirements before you apply to UQ.
- Apply directly to the University by downloading and completing the hard copy International student application for undergraduate studies form (PDF)
You will need to provide:
- Documents* to satisfy any program prerequisites as outlined in courses and programs
- Certified copies** of all transcripts of results, award certificates, grading systems, and translations (if required). See section 8 of the hard copy application form
- If from a non-English speaking country, proof of English language proficiency. See also section 5 of the hard copy application form
- An application fee of AUD$100. See section 6 of the hard copy application form

Australia - Your application will be assessed by the International Admissions Section (IAS) who will inform you by email of the outcome of your application.

**Documentation
Students should not send original documents.
Applicants demonstrating their English proficiency with a TOEFL Test Score and who have completed their TOEFL by IBT or CBT, must send a copy of the official TOEFL Score Report to UQ. Applicants completing a paper based TOEFL Test must organise for UQ to receive an original copy of the official TOEFL Score Report. Please ask the Educational Testing service to send the Official Score Report directly to the University of Queensland, Institution Code 0987. Note that the University does not accept institutional TOEFL tests. If you sat an IELTS test and you can provide an IELTS Test Report Form number, you do not need to provide an official copy of your IELTS results to UQ.
If waiting for transcripts or current results, students may submit their completed application with a note advising when results are likely to be available.
Students should forward a certified copy of their transcripts as soon as they receive them. Please check that transcripts sent separately are clearly marked with your UQ Student ID, family name, first name, date of birth, anticipated program, and a notation that an application has already been submitted.

Some programs have an earlier closing date. To find out if an earlier deadline applies, go to the information for the specific program on www.uq.edu.au/study and review the closing date information.
You must leave enough time for the University to process your application and to issue an offer. You must also allow enough time to organise your student visa, which may take up to six months.

Application fee
A non-refundable AUD$100 application fee must accompany your application form. Please note that only bank drafts, MasterCard or Visa are accepted methods of payment.
