Course description
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and skills for application in mental health nursing practice. The focus is on the acquision of knowledge and skills relevant to clinical practice. The course prepares students for role of advanced level practitioner in a specialty practice area - for example, child and youth, adult, older persons, forensic. Students will apply and build upon the theoretical concepts learned in the foundations of mental health nursing and mental health nursing practice in previous semesters and in their concurrent clinical practice course.
