Course description
Starting with an understanding of traditional financial markets, economics and externalities, this course proceeds to explore the role of eco-system services and emerging markets, environmental banking, factors driving the growth of the environment industry, financial and environmental risk and emerging markets for environmental finance, insurance and lending trends; future scenarios constraining access to finance and insurance, and investment in clean technology stocks. The course is illustrated by extensive use of examples and case studies.
