Course description
Understanding of ecology, economics and society. Development of theoretical and practical interrelationships between these facets of sustainable development with an emphasis on contemporary examples. Specific case studies are addressed including application of the precautionary principle, biodiversity conservation, ecological modernization, agriculture and water resource management.
