Students will be assessed on their achievement of elements of the national competencies for entry to dietetics practice. Students will receive formative assessment through the semester on their perfor mance.

Course description

Professional practice is compulsory in dietetics. This course introduces students to the practice of the nutrition management of individuals in acute and ambulatory care settings. Students spend the equivalent of 25 days in placement across the semester, developing competence in the nutrition care process, screening and assessment and the nutrition management of the acute and chronically ill person.
