Course description

This course is designed to further develop students' practical skills in translation from Chinese into English up to the level of Professional Translator (formerly Level 3) of National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Students will develop an insight of high quality translation, skilfully apply translation techniques in practice, use computer in translation, and practise in subject areas including business and trade, international relations, science and technology, and tourism. The link between theoretical concepts and practice will be emphasised.
