Student Relations Network

New to UQ? Expect a call from the Student Relations Network!

The Student Relations Network (SRN) is a network of current students who call new students to welcome them to UQ and answer questions about uni life.

If you're a new undergraduate student, you can expect a call from a member of the SRN Call Crew who's currently enrolled in your program.

Feel free to ask any questions about getting started, your degree or anything else you'd like to know about life at UQ.

Since they're in the same program as you, they can offer firsthand advice about accessing academic and social resources that will help you make the most of your time at uni.

If you are an international student, make sure you have an up to date sim card in Australia and update your details online via My.UQ Dashboard.

When to expect a call

New domestic and international undergraduate students can expect to hear from our Call Crew throughout Year 1.

When you're likely to receive calls depends on when you start your program. If you start in Semester 2, you won't receive a follow-up call in your second semester.

Domestic students:

  1. After you accept your offer through QTAC.
  2. Before census date in your first semester.
  3. During your second semester (if you start in Semester 1 only).

International students:

  1. Before census date in your first semester.
  2. During your second semester (if you start in Semester 1 only).

You can also connect with the SRN at any time during the year through Facebook, or request a call bal by emailing student-relations@uq.edu.au
