Essential selection criteria:

  • current domestic or international UQ student*
  • currently enrolled in a program of study at UQ and will enrol for Semester 2, 2019 at UQ
  • at the time of commencing work: completion of at least 2 full years of study at UQ**
  • excellent and demonstrated communication skills
  • comprehensive awareness of UQ resources to support all students
  • available to attend a group interview on 23 or 24 April
  • available to attend mandatory training on 25 or 28 June 2019 and to commence work in July 2019

Where will I work?

St Lucia or Gatton campus

We have two fully established call centres at both St Lucia and Gatton campuses. 

Your work must be undertaken at one of our two call centres, and at no time working from home or from an alternative location. 

The SRN is based in Room 206, Building 41, St Lucia and at Morrison Hall, Gatton.

Is this a paid role?


Successful applicants will be employed as Casual HEW1, professional staff. The current rate is $32.56 per hour.

Shifts are a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 7 hours 15 minutes per day. SRN Call Crew are not paid overtime or penalty rates.

What is casual work?

Temporary employment

Casual work offers more flexible hours than other forms of employment, but job permanency is less certain.

You will be employed on a temporary basis; hours are irregular, and work isn't guaranteed to be ongoing.

You will be required to submit regular timesheets and provide weekly availability via online rostering.
