Tertiary preparation courses

Tertiary preparation workshops are conducted by the Learning Assistance Unit, Student Services for students beginning their undergraduate programs and for international students. These courses are free to students of The University of Queensland.

Preparing for Success at University (1st semester only) - This half-day preparation course will assist you to develop the necessary skills and strategies needed to succeed at Uni. Topics covered include study and time management, reading and note-making, study techniques, and making the most out of your lectures and tutorials.

Tertiary Writing Course (1st semester only) - This is a half-day interactive course aimed to help all new undergraduate students understand academic writing expectations at UQ. It focuses on what it means to be a critical reader, thinker and writer.
