University life can be an incredibly challenging experience. Meeting demands, balancing work and life, and maintaining a high level of productivity can turn up the stresses so much that we can lose sight of where we stand. If you’re looking to prevent the harmful effects of on-going stress or learn how to better manage current pressures, UQ’s Mindfulness Program offers two pathways to actively manage the range of challenges you face.
Our innovative program adapts traditional mindfulness meditation techniques to offer an introduction to a personal practice. We provide a supportive and interactive learning environment to develop mindfulness skills - the practice of focusing our attention on our inner experience at the moment that it is happening. By practicing these powerful skills, we learn to be more awake to the unfolding moments of our life. Opening up to our moment-to-moment experience increases our opportunities to make better, healthier, and conscious choices.
Graduates of our program report improved mood, decreased stress, and increased enjoyment of life. Try it for yourself! Learn more about our group courses below.
