Confused about your Career Direction? Stop thinking about yourself and attend UQ’s Volunteer Expo!

The third UQ Careers and Graduate Employment (Student Services) Volunteer Expo will be held on Wednesday 24th August  2011 from 10:00 – 2:00. 

In 2010,  50 organisations attended, from the big names like Surf Lifesaving Qld, Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development, Australian Paralympic Committee, RSPCA, Woodford folk Festival, Fisheries Qld  and the Department of Communities through to Radio Lollipop, Mummy’s Wish, Lifeline and the Pyjama Foundation.

Students can discuss volunteer opportunities and their own availability directly with the organisations attending and in turn, improve their transferrable skills, build up the resume and boost their employment prospects and we haven’t even mentioned the warm fuzzy feelings you get from doing something for someone else. www.uq.edu.au/volunteer-expo or the UQ Jobs Portal Careerhub
