Sometimes it can be a bit lonely at University but there are lots of ways to meet people or get support.

Make new friends by:
- Joining Mates@UQ - a program designed to encourage interaction between domestic and international students;
- Joining one of the Student Union’s clubs and societies;
- Taking up a sport.
If you’re looking for support you could:
- Talk to one of our counsellors;
- Talk to a chaplain.
Some Faculties provide buddy programs for students like the:
- Alumni Mentoring Program for law students;
- Faculty of Health Sciences.
Special programs like the UQ-Link program provide support for financially disadvantaged students.

- UQ Mentors This mentoring program is for all first year students a the University of Queensland based on UQ campuses.
