Translating academic knowledge to align with Industry expectations

The Careers and Graduate Employment Unit (CAGE) is available to assist UQ academic and professional staff support students in their quest for employment. The unit offers a variety of services (such as embedded workshops) and can often tailor to your needs.

We encourage students to engage with Industry and build graduate attributes which translate into employability skills and professional experience early on in their studies to gain the competitive edge in addition to their Qualification.

Exposing students to professional interactions is another way that aid you in inspiring your student and contribute to retention.

CAGE deals directly with recruiters on a regular basis from most Industries and are up to date with current and future demands which we pass on to students through our services.

If you have any students with career or employment questions:

You are welcome to redirect enquiries to the UQ Career main page for self direction or contact us via email on
