The conduct of research at UQ by both staff and students is governed by a number of policies to ensure that it is both of a high standard and is conducted ethically. Research students are expected to be both familiar with these policies and to follow them conscientiously. Some of the most important policies are the following:
- Procedures for the conduct of research
- Guidelines on ethical research and ethical approval forms for research involving humans or animals (some schools have their own specific forms):
- Research Higher Degree Candidate Charter
- General UQ policy on the confirmation process for PhD and MPhil students (your School should provide you with more detailed guidelines)
- Requirements on PhD and MPhil thesis format at UQ
- Intellectual Property
- http://www.uq.edu.au/hupp/index.html?page=25057&pid=25015 Occupational health and safety in the laboratory
- Internet Code of Practice (acceptable and unacceptable uses of University email and internet access provisions)
Other relevant policies can be found here
